Greetings from Tink World!

Recipes haven't been shared in a while. So, I thought that I'd share my new favorite recipe, samurai tacos with homemade white sauce. It's super easy and can be made with pork or beef. Sauteed squash is the side of my choice. Broccoli and asian salad or slaw are also great sides.

What you'll need:

1 lb. Tinks ground beef or ground pork

1 bottle Island Teriyaki

taco shells

White sauce:

1/3 c. mayo

2 Tbsp. butter

1 tsp. ground ginger

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. cayenne pepper

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 squirt ketchup

Mix up all ingredients for the white sauce and put in the fridge. I use a mason jar because you can mix it up and store it in the same container.

Brown the ground beef or pork. Once it's almost cooked through, add 1/2 the bottle of Island Teriyaki. Let it cook until the sauce and meat gets a little crunchy. Serve the meat on taco shells with a dollop of white sauce. The teriyaki meat and veggies are also great served over lettuce with white sauce and miso dressing.

You'll be tempted to add something to the meat while it's cooking. Don't. It really doesn't need anything besides the sauce. It cooks to crunchy, sweet perfection. When paired with the spicy white sauce, it's heaven.

As for markets, Team Tink will be at the Decatur Farmers Market on Saturday, July 30. Roasts and unsealed items, including steaks, will be on sale this week. We may even throw together a grab bag. Be sure to check Facebook for market specials.

Well, that's all for now. Have a great week. We'll see you at the market.
