Greetings from Tink World!

Every now and then, we stumble upon something great. We have been fortunate enough to be a part of a lot of wonderful events, activities, markets, etc. over the years. The most recent is donating meat to Icebox Ministries in Augusta. We consider it a blessing to be able to donate to an organization such as Icebox Ministries that can use meat to help others.

Recently, Harrisburg, a small community in Augusta, had a block party. There has been a lot of education and building happening in the community. The Veggie Truck Market takes place there. One of the pick-up points for Augusta Locally Grown is in Harrisburg. Icebox Ministries is also located in the community. These groups, as well as volunteers, farmers and others have connected with a community that wants to grow food and learn more about where their food comes from. The block party celebrated the food movement happening in the area. Most of the meat and veggies were donated by local farmers. It's amazing what can happen when a community comes together.

Starting this week, Tink's Beef & Pork will be available at the Veggie Truck Market. Team Tink will be there on Tuesday from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Although we won't be able to attend every week, someone will be there for us. So, be on the lookout. The market is located across from the Kroc Center on Broad St.

Last year, we took part in another event that has been a dream from the beginning. The Burke County Farm to School Program used our beef and pork in an Elementary school. Kids were exposed to a lot of farmers, locally grown produce and meats, and dishes that they may not have otherwise eaten. It's a true blessing to see the fruits of your labor appreciated. When the kids made the connection to Tink and the hamburger, or other beef and pork dishes served that week, they lit up. It was amazing to see the kids connect the dots.

As an extension of that wildly successful week, Burke County has started a farmers market. The market usually takes place once each month. This month, the market is taking place on Friday, April 22. Yes, this Friday! So, make plans to come see us! The Burke County Campus Farmers Market is Friday from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Burke County High School, behind the greenhouses.

The Decatur Farmers Market has also been a huge blessing over the years! We certainly have some amazing customers. Team Tink will attend the Decatur Farmers Market on Saturday, April 23. In order to continue attending this market, we need your support! Help us make this Saturday great! Make plans to come see us this weekend. You can always place your order in advance by emailing,

Well, that's all for now. Have a great week. We'll see you at the market!
