Braised Short Ribs
This recipe will serve 2-4 people.
1 pack of Tink’s Beef Short Ribs
2 ½ c water
¼ c vinegar
¼ c molasses
BBQ Sauce of choice
Season ribs liberally with salt and pepper. Place the ribs fat side down in a crock pot that is set to low heat. Add all ingredients minus the BBQ sauce and cover. Allow the ribs to braise, unmolested, for 7-8 hours.
Once the ribs have finished in the crock pot, it’s time to finish them off in the oven. Preheat the oven and skillet to 450 degrees. Remove ribs from stock and coat with your favorite BBQ sauce (we prefer The Heat Legends sauce found at the Decatur Farmers Market). Carefully place ribs fat side down in the skillet and roast for 3-4 minutes. Turn ribs and coat again with sauce. Return to oven for 3 minutes. Before serving and slicing, allow the meat to rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes.
