Greetings from Tink World!

We hope you had a great holiday weekend! July 4th in Washington is always fun. The fireworks were great and the kids certainly enjoyed them.

Many of you hosted a party or had guests over for the holiday. Get-togethers are the perfect occasions to introduce your friends and family to the locally grown goodness available in your area. If you're having burgers, why not purchase a bulk pack of ground beef and feed them all Tink burgers? If you're in need of fruits and veggies for your gathering, pop by the local farmers market and purchase directly from the farmer.

I've often heard people say that they don't want to buy local for their party because there are people in attendance that don't care about what they eat or where their food comes from. If you aren't supporting the small farmers in your area, you are supporting the big, corporate entities like Tyson or National Beef.

Voting with your dollar is an effective way to make a change. Yes, it does cost more to serve a locally grown, organic menu, but your friends will thank you. You may even make them believers and turn them on to supporting the locals. It's part of your duty as a localvore/food advocate.

We have a busy week coming up. It's time to make deliveries to Nature's Garden Express and Candler Park Market. Also, we will be at the Decatur Farmers Market on Saturday, July 9. Augusta fans, mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 12. We'll be making Augusta deliveries. So, get your orders in.

Well, that all for now. Have a great week. We'll see you at the market!
